Be Here Now
Inquiery of the No-Place.
The letters in Be Here Now also write Be Nowhere. I built the letters out of plaster and then blew them up on three different alpine passes in Switzerland. The places look similar unless at first glance, a question about location. Also, alpine passes serve as a divider between two regions, culturally or linguistically, and play an important role in in swiss history. They were the perfect place to stage the question of the No-Place by naming a location.
